YUP thats what they call me chlorine. its hard to describe what i look like cause u cant really see me unless u squeeze me in a tiny vial then i look green kind of like the photo above. Im also very very rare pretty much the only way i can come around is with oxidation from oxygen if something were to go wrong with that process i usually would be its accident. I am a gas a very deadly gas when i et up to 1000ppm's. at 3.5ppm's u might smell me but you don't need to worry about your safety. although i'm used today in products like bleach it wasn't always like that u was used in world war 1 as a weapon. I have gone into more peaceful work like treating water. Im usually found in earth's crust and when i am i occur as chloride in various ionic compounds, including table salt. i am the second most abundant halogen and 21st most abundant chemical element. so yah i'm pretty cool. the first chemist who discovered me was a man named carl Wilhelm Scheele, a Swedish chemist who combined the mineral pyrolusite (MnO2) with hydrochloric acid (HCi) in 1774 Scheele thought the gas he produce AKA me had oxygen Sir Humphrey david proved him wrong in 1810 that i was actually a distinct element. today im mostly produced through the electrolysis of aqueous sodium chloride (NaCl).

BLOG MON: Today was a bad day.... i was walking to my next class and i saw hydrogen and he bumped into me an the light was so bright from the sun i just blew up.
THIS IS KINDA WHAT MONDAY WAS LIKE!!!!!!!!
BLOG TUE: Today i met a kid named bromine he seemed pretty cool by the time we stopped hanging out we were as tight as bromine monochloride.
BLOG WEN: So today i got in trouble with the school cause i got into a violent altercation with sulfur and his friend potassium Mr. Mullen was introducing us in the chemistry lab and they were really annoying so i attacked them and it went up in sparks.
BLOG THU: Today in the new science lab on Forman i was used to make pure liquid Cl12 i was put under sever pressure by ms. boyar's test that i liquified.
BLOG FRI: Today i was sitting in math class, and gold was sitting next to me i didn't mind at first but he got more and more annoying as it got hotter and hotter cause the ac was off in Williams
BLOG SAT: today i avoided another fight but this time it was with oxygen, i don't want to mess with him he seems tuff so for the rest of my time at Forman i'm just not going to react when he's around.
BLOG SUN: I realized my mistake after i had been yelled at for getting in a fight with hydrogen we shook hands and got over our differences. but my cousin named hydrogen chloride told me about his issue with hydrogen, but now there best friends there always together they always go swimming to but people usually think there annoying cause they always get burned by them its almost like hydrochloric acid.......
